People tell us that we have a green thumb, but we would like to
believe that it is actually the Devas that do all the work, we just
harvest their gifts. Either way, we love to eat healthy Organic
foods and that is the main reason why we do what we do. There is
nothing more rewarding than eating the fruits of your own labor.
Alejandra and I (Cristina) are the two Devas’ helpers. We were
born in Rosario, Argentina twenty-something years ago, so in
plant terms you could consider us a Micro-Green. Our parents
moved from Argentina (mother from Uruguay, father from Peru)
to Miami sixteen years ago, and of course, we followed them.
Tired of traffic and hurricane shutters they moved to Jackson,
Mississippi.
Six years later and tired of not finding FRESH organic produce,
Devas’ Harvest,llc was born. Lucky for us and for many other
Jacksonians organic produce is becoming more and more
popular….Hurray for the green movement!!!!
At the market you might meet my husband Patrik and our little
sprout Celeste!!! She was born April 4, 2005. She is a true
American (quite a melting pot she is: her grandparents are from
Italy, Sweden, Uruguay and Peru and her parents from Argentina
and Sweden!) and a true Mississippian, she sure does loves them
greens!!
We are located in Byram, Mississippi. We have a 5 acre "farm" but
probably we only use an acre of our land for agriculture purposes.
The good thing about being in Byram is that we are very close to
Jackson so those raising gas prices do not affect us as much,
meaning you as a costumer get a competitive price. Thank
goodness for Farmers’ Markets!!
